Lyon. Photographs (2017 – 2023)
Line C14 traverses a nebulous realm, skirting the Saône and Rhône rivers—a city long known as “misty,” home to a dense fog with distinct contours. I regularly took the C14 bus, crossing half the city first thing in the morning, surrendering to daydreams and carried away by the gentle flavors of the seasons. I traveled—motionless—through a battlefield. Light and shadow vied for territory. Moving bodies slipped through the rifts of time, opening up fleeting interstices here and there.

Because subway lines, like those of the hand, intersect; not only on the map where the interlacing of their multicolored paths unfolds and is ordered, but in the life and mind of each person.
